Members of the new Institutional Board of Directors of CIUSSS West-Central Montreal have been appointed to a four-year term by the Board of Directors of Santé Québec, effective July 4.
Establishing a Board of Directors (Conseil d’administration d’établissement) in each Santé Québec institution is provided for in the Act Respecting the Governance of the Health and Social Services System. The Board plays a vital role in closely aligning care and services with actual needs and circumstances in our community. Among the responsibilities of each board member is evaluating user experiences, maintaining relationships with local stakeholders, providing input to the CEO, and contributing to determining the health and social service needs in our area.
“I would like to warmly thank everyone who has stepped forward to serve on the boards of directors of Santé Québec’s institutions,” says Christiane Germain, Chair of the Board of Santé Québec.“The complementarity of their expertise, their insightful perspectives and their commitment will strengthen the health and social services network and, more importantly, improve its responsiveness to the needs of the public. I am confident that each appointed member will make a difference and play a key role in improving the quality, accessibility and relevance of care and services throughout Québec.”
Congratulations to all of the appointed and designated board members for their involvement and their commitment to improving care and services for those in the area served by CIUSSS West-Central Montreal.
